Fernández’s Chelsea teammate Wesley Fofana publicly denounced the video on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, as &#8220;uninhibited racism&#8221;, prompting Fernández to issue an official apology on Wednesday, 17 July 2024, stating: &#8220;There is absolutely no excuse for these words. I stand against discrimination in all forms and apologise for getting caught up in the euphoria of our celebrations&#8221;.</p>

<p>Manchester United have officially confirmed the signing of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa in a deal worth £35 million.</p>



<p>The 29-year-old Belgium international signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils to keep him at Old Trafford until June 2031, marking his arrival as the club’s second major midfield reinforcement of the summer following the £50 million capture of Andrey Santos from Chelsea.</p>

<p>United States of America (USA) striker Folarin Balogun admitted he anticipated backlash after FIFA suspended his World Cup red card ban following political lobbying by President Donald Trump.</p>



<p>The Monaco forward was dismissed against Bosnia and Herzegovina, but disciplinary chairman Mohammad Al Kamali unilaterally deferred the suspension.&nbsp;</p>
