<p>Manchester City travel to the London Stadium this Saturday, 14 March facing a defining moment in their season.</p>



<p>Following a bruising 3-0 European defeat to Real Madrid, Pep Guardiola’s side sits seven points behind Arsenal. With the gap potentially widening, the stakes are absolute.&nbsp;</p>



<p>“Now there is no second chances,” Guardiola warned during the pre-match interview on Friday, 13 March, though he confirmed Erling Haaland is fit to feature.</p>



<p>Despite City’s historical dominance in East London – remaining unbeaten there since 2014 – they face a revitalised West Ham. Although the Hammers sit 18th, their underlying metrics suggest a team far stronger than their league position implies.</p>

<p>Axel Disasi has broken his silence on a challenging period at Chelsea, where he was frozen out of the squad before securing a winter loan to West Ham United.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The 27-year-old French defender, who made the €45 million move to Stamford Bridge in 2023, spent the first half of this season in the infamous “bomb squad” under Enzo Maresca, failing to make a single appearance.</p>



<p>Disasi recently spoke to a sports publication, where he reflected on his exile and admitted the mental toll was significant: “If I say everything, maybe I will get into trouble, but it was tough.”&nbsp;</p>



<p>“It was very tough to be watching every single week, every single weekend the games on the [television].”&nbsp;</p>



<p>He credited his family for helping him maintain professionalism and fitness during the months spent on the sidelines.</p>



<p>Since his €2 million loan to London Stadium in February, Disasi’s fortunes have shifted. He has become a mainstay in Nuno Espirito Santo’s defense, helping the Hammers secure eight points in five starts as they battle to escape the relegation zone.</p>



<p>While his Chelsea contract means he will be with the Blues until 2029, Disasi is focused on the present: “I try to enjoy every moment because I know it’s not guaranteed.”</p>

<p>While the result mirrors their September loss in Turkey, the tie remains salvageable. However, Slot warned his players must be more clinical, noting: “Sometimes we treat chances like we’ll get 10 chances more.”</p>
